Making rice pudding from your kot

Wednesday 27th of May at 08:00 PM we will be hosting a livestream in one of the most famous brown brasseries in Antwerp: Brasserie De Post! Pre-corona praised for its tasty traditional Belgian dishes, cozy atmosphere and funny signs. Now online to prepare a nostalgic dish. The chef will prepare his delicious rice pudding together with you. Wondering if it tastes better than your grandmother's rice pudding?


- 150 gram sugar

- 1.5 l whole milk

- 150 gr dessert rice

- 1 vanilla stick

- Brown sugar

- pinch of saffron

- a golden spoon 😉


  1. Pour the correct amount of rice and sugar into a saucepan.

  2. Add the milk to the rice and sugar. Cook over medium heat until thick and creamy.

  3. Cut the vanilla pod and remove the interior with a knife.

  4. Add the saffron.

  5. Stir gently until the rice is cooked.
